A useful Google review request text identifies your business, thanks the customer and links directly to the right review page. Ask for an honest account of a real experience, not a particular score. In Zonitel, a reusable Review & social template can put that request into the customer's conversation for your team to review and send.
Start with the right link and a respectful request
Use your Google Business Profile's review-sharing option to obtain the business or location's review link. Open it yourself before adding it to a template. A link to a search result, your website homepage or another branch creates an unnecessary detour. The customer needs a Google Account to leave a Google review; the account does not have to use a Gmail address.
Do not offer discounts, gifts or other rewards in exchange for reviews. Do not ask only happy customers to post while directing everyone else to a private form. Choose a consistent, permission-based process and respect requests not to receive messages. A previous purchase or phone call is not blanket permission for every future text.
Four message examples to adapt
These are original drafting examples, not automatic Zonitel variables. Replace the bracketed placeholders, check the link and follow the consent and opt-out requirements for your messaging program.
- After a completed visit: “Hi [First name], thank you for visiting [Business]. If you would like to share your experience, you can leave an honest Google review here: [Review link]. Thank you for your time.”
- After a finished service: “Thanks for choosing [Business] for your recent service. Your feedback can help other customers know what to expect. Share your experience here: [Review link].”
- After an ongoing conversation: “Thank you for speaking with our team today. If you would like to review your experience with [Business], here is our Google review link: [Review link].”
- For a specific branch: “Thank you for visiting our [Location] team at [Business]. You are welcome to share an honest review of this location: [Review link]. We appreciate your feedback.”
Keep the request proportionate to the interaction. A repair visit that has actually finished is a different moment from an unresolved complaint or an estimate that has not been accepted. Do not invent a completed service merely because the contact appears in your inbox.
Reuse the request in Zonitel Conversations
Open Conversations → Inbox and the intended customer's thread. Under + → Review & social, create a template with a recognizable name, approved message and verified review link. Select the saved item to place its wording in the composer, then check recipient, business line, channel and personalized details before sending.
Saving or selecting the template does not send the message. You can send the reviewed draft or use the available scheduling workflow for a future send. Adding an image makes it an MMS attachment, not a plain SMS. Messaging capability and applicable charges depend on the account and message type.
Measure the process without promising a ranking
Record which request your team used and whether the message was delivered. Review the public feedback and answer appropriately without exposing private customer information. Do not equate a delivered text with a posted review: the person may decide not to participate, and the messaging record does not prove which review they wrote.
For a small team, a clear template and ownership rule can be more useful than repeated reminders. Decide who may request a review, who handles replies and when a follow-up would become excessive. No message template guarantees more reviews, a five-star score or a particular position on Google.
